Common Questions
Coaching is a collaborative relationship that differs from traditional counseling. Through an anti-diet, intuitive eating lens, our work centers on the present and future of your relationship with food and body. Together, we create structured, values-aligned goals, identify stuck patterns, and build the practical tools needed to create and sustain more supportive, life-giving patterns.
It’s completely understandable to feel hesitant about working with someone without knowing their training or background - let me tell you a little about my training.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am also a provisionally licensed Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia. In addition, I have extensive training in eating disorder–specific treatment, as well as experience practicing at an outpatient level from an anti-diet and Intuitive Eating lens. I am also currently in the process of completing advanced training toward certification as a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
Coaching is best suited for those who are not seeking treatment for an active eating disorder, but who feel stuck in unhelpful patterns and want structured support, goal setting, and practical strategies to create lasting change. Coaching is especially supportive for individuals who are medically stable, not in need of intensive therapeutic treatment, and looking for structured guidance, practical tools, and accountability as they build intuitive, values-aligned patterns in daily life.
I often work with those facing the following concerns:
body image | disordered eating patterns | feeling "out of control" with food | chronic dieting | overwhelming food noise | rigid food rules | intense cravings | shame around food and body
You can submit your name, email, and message directly through my contact page. Those messages go straight to me and I will email you back within 1-2 business days to answer any questions or setup a free phone call to talk through your concerns.
